Farewell Xoutpost! I have jumped off the BMW wagon...for now

After getting the X5 tranny fixed up I sold it just yesterday. It received a pre purchase inspection from the dealership and "passed" with flying colours. They only recommended 3K in parts and labour...which made letting it go even harder, I expected much worse from the dealership. Selling was the right thing for me to do. I want peace of mind in my daily driver.

So I got a 2015 Lexus IS 250 AWD today!

Still love BMW but I won't be driving one again until I can afford to buy new/er with a warranty.

This forum has been a great resource to me from my E53 to the short time I had the E70. Thank you all!

Nice choice with the IS, looks really good IMO. Too bad about the BMW though, everyone I've owned has been impeccable but you'll be back soon

congrats.. my wife picked up a new Dodge Ram Sport last month so the X5 has taken a back seat and has not been driven much.. started to get a battery discharge message on it because it hasn't been driven much.. was going to put it up for sale today and noticed after a short drive it has a coolant leak at the base of the expansion tank.. go figure.. these things are not reliable at all.. next purchase i'll be making will hopefully be an 09 M6 depending on maintenance and repair issues

What did you get for you X5, just wondering what the market is like in Calgary if I decide to sell mine.
