Mtec AE's Are They Suppose To Look Like This...?

Sup guys,

I installed some Mtec Version 3 AE's earlier today. I also coded the AE's to be the daytime running lights using BMWhat. Are they suppose to look like this? I have the same ones installed on my E90 and the rights are equally bright. Also the inside light looks like it has a bulb on.

Yeah pretty much...it's due to the flaw design of the AE , light and angle have to be perfect to capture good distribution on both rings ...

In this pic u only see the inner ring lite

That kinda sux. However i do have a question. I noticed your inside AE light looks like it has a bulb in it, I have the same look on mine. Is that also common?

BTW, The production date is 4/12/2009.

It looks like that cause it does, the AE bulb is the one you see there. The projector looking piece should be blacked out to just get the halo effect

Thank you! H&R sport springs at front 2" drop , lowering links in the rear

I was hoping you'd say that, thats the kit I'm getting. I assume you are running spacers too?

on the e70 the angel eye socket is open to the front of the light, it is actually the inner projector, while on an e9x, the angel eye holder in concealed behind the cornering light and is fully enclosed.
the E9x also has the dimmer outter ring issue, but not as drastic as the e70 since the e70 has a massive outter ring.

On LCI E70s, the inner angel eye projector is completely non-functioning and the coronas are lighted by LEDs instead of a single bulb in the inner projector.
