I've been adding 10oz of Lucas Upper Cylinder Lube/Injector Cleaner/lube at EVERY fill for almost 5 yrs and over 80k miles. No issues with almost 190k on the X.

OE cats, injectors, fuel pump and pressure regulator working flawlessly.
TiAg, I could only find the Upper Cylinder Lube in 32oz bottles. What do you use to measure? I assume you keep the whole bottle with you then dole some out when you fill up.

BTW, I wasn't able to find this on the Lucas Oil website. Has it been discontinued?

Isn't the Lucas upper cylinder lube just motor oil? That would be cheaper.

Good idea, I'm going to start adding motor oil to my fuel.

You already did. You just paid more for it.

How long has it been since you put you X on the road.
A long road trip might make a difference.

I'll stick to my highly specialized upper cylinder lubricant and pay the additional few cents difference, but thanks for the suggestion.

I am due for a road trip, a good hour at 60++ mph would definitely do some good.

So... Lucas Oil!?

I love that stuff!! I use it at every fill up on my other vehicles (American) but have been extremely weary of using it in the bimmer.

I have an 09 X5 3.0... anyone else with an E70 ever use the lucas additive without issues??
