Coding CIC to work wtih Sirius Sat Radio

North American Versions of the CIC have IBOC (HD Radio) and SDARS (Satellite Radio).

UK and Europe have DAB.

Ape2607. My cic did came from Germany via eBay and got DAB. Do you know for sure if I can get Sirius radio to work with external unit that I installed ? My car original has shark fin and had sat radioprep. Thank you !!!

Yes. You should be able to code it to work with the external sat radio tuner if you can find one. They are quite hard to come by these days. You may need a mouting bracket as well depending on what options the car has.

For the external tuner, change the line in the CIC that says SDARS or something similar (don't remember exactly now) to external

Successes ! Sat Radio is working. I got help from one of the forum members. It was sdars value.

blue dragon - can you please help with info on part #'s on getting LCI backup cam installed.

You need the camera module, the LVDS cable and the camera. I haven't had the chance yet to get the part numbers. There is a thread, but the search engine seems to be flaky right now
