In my younger days, circa 2000, mainly Civics and Integras were stolen. These days, with all the electronics, can you really drive away in a stolen vehicle? |

To be honest it's so stupid. You'd have to be a retard to leave any valuables in the car. I have nothing of value in the car. The only thing valuable is just the computers the car has which bmw has made really easy to access in the back. Otherwise I could somewhat care less if they stole my car as it does have insurance for it and I know they probably won't get far anyways before the car shuts down due to the security it has built in.

in mine, kind of interesting. sophisticated enough to break in the way they did, but once inside-- stole a cup of quarters, didn't take the laser detector (9500xi), took an iphone sync cable but not the adapter. Nothing else in the car worth noting. Btw, all these were in the center console, not visible from the outside.
bum? or hoping to take the car? who knows... Liberty mutual and JMK BMW collision center kicked ass. |

Dealership will probably want $7k and take 3 weeks to fix.
