He has not been using the sport because it pushes up the shift points and he does not want that. I think he can change that in the idrive settings right? The 328i loner I have now allows either chassis or drivetrain to be disabled. He just wants the electric steering to firm up a bit.

If you have DHP - and I don't know about M-Adaptive - you can configure them seperately - with standard suspension - there are no suspension options to adjust separately. You can adjust only the ECO PRO settings with standard suspension.

I've noted many users state with DHP they adjust suspension and leave throttle response at comfort.
