2012 X5 E70 cranks but dosn't start
Here is my story - 2012 X535i with 66k miles, second owner - Parked the car at night, would not start in the morning - mild weather - No errors are thrown, saw some Park brake or airbag related warning on the screen though - Tried looking for the green relay at the back, but could not find one. I think this one has a Fuel Control Module instead (EKPM3) - When I try to cank it, the fuel guage needle goes left to right - Pump priming (hiss) at the unlock or door open is missing. Not sure if this is the module issue or pump issue....or is there any other relay somewhere else. Thanks |

Age of battery? I would throw a overnight charger on it and see if it will come back to life.

so this came out to be a problem with the Integrated Supply module (ISM).
Using the Foxwell NT520 Tool, it diagnosed issues with DME - Valvetronic relay. As my truck is the E70N (facelift), it dosn't come with the relay but ISM and I could hear a ticking sound from it. Checking the various connectors, noticed one of them had a corroded terminal - maybe water entered and shot it. Changed the module and it started fine. Here is the link to the module.
