Running Boards
My X5 2015 currently no running boards installed. I am planning to buy a pair of running boards to install on it. Does anyone experience running boards installation? Is it complicated, any modify or just plug and play? Thanks! |

I’ve no experience of running board fitting but having a car with them makes me advise against fitting the original BMW boards. They look great when clean but are a magnet for dirt, they need plenty of effort to keep clean but most of all they make quite a step over to get in or out of the car. Just my experience!

Invented by dry-cleaners to insure local dry-cleaner businesses have plenty of business. There is no easy way of avoiding dirty pants leg once these are fitted unless you wash your vehicle each time before you enter or leave it.
Had them "retroed" to my wife's E70 for looks and regretted it every time I got in or out. Look great but that is where it ends.

Step on them when exiting. Only way to exit without getting pants dirty. Worth it for the looks and said when washing the roof of the truck. Imo anyway.
