Suspension wobble and poor handling?
hi guys just downgraded from an awesome e70 x5 3.5ix with adaptive suspension to a regular f15 x5 3.5i m package with no adaptive suspension (stupid m packaged tricked me into buying this)
for those who dont know the difference its night and day with and without this option. first of all in the new f15 changing lanes on the highway is a daredevil move the whole thing wobbles like a chariot. taking corners a little to fast and the back passengers end up on the opposite side. this thing sucks, i love bmw and owned only bmw and continue to buy bmw but THIS VERSION SUCKS in handling, never again buying without adaptive suspension. i think i got my frustration out by now. now the real question how can i improve handling and prevent this wobbling. im riding 20” rims stock m wheels. suspension and struts were inspected by bmw and are in perfect condition. |

You could try poly bushings on the sway bars, or even upgrading the bars. I have the luxury package with 19" wheels and 255/50 tires and found that running 36 psi front and 39 psi rear does a better job of balancing steering reaction.
