BMW is little unpredictable these days

E70 press release was first week of August, with cars at dealers by 2nd week of November. E70 production started September 28th, 2010 and in US showrooms by mid-November.

F25 X3 press release was mid-July 2010 with production start on September 1.

The factory needs few days after E70 production ends to retool for F15.

Given that production starts in August and it will debut at Frankfurt in mid-September, we should see the press release by June or before and demos to hit showrooms by mid-September. This will be similar to E70 debut when it was first shown at LA Auto show and was at US dealers around same time.
