As an exercise in design it's interesting. . .but I don't get it. X5 it is for me.

Thanks again LeMansX5 for the hard work put into the photo spread.
For me, I would still prefer being up higher and feeling safer in real-world accidents on the interstate. But cargo is an issue I cannot ignore since I make 1 to 2 trips a year that last 4-5 weeks and cover 3-4K miles. The X5 has enough space even for our dog when he was still with us.
And I'm in the camp of those not so sure about the looks so will have to test drive and look at it up close and personal.

Audi and MercBenZ are also working on something simiar to X6. There is a demand in the market for such vehicle.

X6 is not a family car/ people mover. That role is for X5. X6 is for people who like a little high seating position and a fun to drive car and therefore the coupe shape.

2 words, LOVE......IT! I love the idea of having the ground clearance of an SAV but having the feel of a coupe...its a true cross-over vehicle...I am sure they will shoehorn a big bad azz engine in there sooner or later, I'm sold.

hm. I'm not sure what to think yet. I need to see it in production form to make any final conclusions.

The ActiveHybrid concept is pretty ugly. Bad hood, and bad front.

The X6 only looks good from certain angles. I like the front end for the most part.
I think this is one of the only pics it looks good in:

I can not believe no one mentioned the brakes on the X6!! Color calipers and cross drilled + vented brakes!! Looks like BMW is finally hearing customers who want larger brakes.

To each his own. I actually like the X6 ActiveHybrid better. The hump in hood is what the shape of things to come in X6 ///M. The roof rails also make it looks better. Gives it a distinctive look.

And soon to be introduced BMW's new CBS brake technology.

Anybody notice the blue brake calipers?

Me like the color too.

Those who saw the X6 in person at the show say that it looks much better in person.
