0-100kmh

X5 3.0si = 8.1sec
X6 35i = 6.7sec

X5 4.8i = 6.5sec
X6 50i = 5.4sec

Over 1 sec faster, less then 100kg heavier, costing less than 10% more than X5 ... But standard features including DPC, much stronger engines, etc.

From what I have heard; the pricing difference in US will be similar to the pricing difference between 5er and 6er.
2009 X5 is also supposed to get the V8 TT engine and 4.8i name revision.
Notice that X6 has more leather on dash than X5.
From what a birdie said, more goodies like 8-speed gearbox, DCT, air suspension coming later.
There will also be an M-sport package, which may not come to US

LeMans, thanks for the pics and Scott, thanks for the info. The items that the X6 have will surely differentiate it from the X5 (such as the paddle shifters, the dynamic x-drive and the awesome 4.4L biturbo engine). All looks good, but can one add an additional seat in the rear seats instead of the cup holders?

DPC is good edge over X5. Expect that to show up on X5 in 2009 MY.

Looks like the 09 TT X5 will be quite the ride. Still not a fan of the X6 although I want to be. Maybe big wheels, running boards, Aero-kit and tinted windows would change my mind?

Nope. BMW does not want X5 buyers moving to an X6. They are targeting different buyers here. Want more room then BMW X5 is the car.
