palbay, great job. Many of us have been waiting for a black X6 to arrive.
It doesn't look as good as I was hoping it would.I guess I will stick with my VR order at this time.

I've been wondering why the X6 doesn't look as wide as an X5 in the photos we've seen, and I suspect its because the body of the X6 tapers towards the rear (despite the rear track being 5cm wider).

It needs a little more aggression perhaps either from the kind of wheel arch extension that's fitted to the X5 (when fitted with 20" wheels) or by fitting spacers to move the wheels out slightly wider. Do you think that the X5's wheel arch extensions would fit the X6?

I can imagine that the tuners will have a field day with the X6 because it has so much potential (visually and dynamically).

May be it's just me but I just don't think the X6 has the same presence as the E70 X5.

rh71, Not to double up on LeMansX5,but I have seen the X6 up close on a couple of occasions. It is a very well done design:scale, street presence,height,width,etc...It really looks like a sedan sized automobile from a distance.I think you'll be pleasantly surprised when you see the X6 in person.Thanks. Palbay

Great shots!

I think the X6 looks fairly good, but I think the e70 X5 looks much better. I guess I am having a hard time with this SAC thing. Not a coupe, not an X5 either. I don't really see it as the best of both worlds. IMHO I sort of see it as a less attractive X5 with less storage space or an unpractical top heavy coupe. For those who are drooling over this thing, what is your motivation to own such a vehicle? Just curious.

They should have called it the X5ti.

I'm drooling over it because it takes away everything I don't need from an X5, while maintaining everything I do.

I see it as a either a sportier, better handling, better looking X5

OR

A coupe with higher seating position, better visibility and better road presence.

It still has a ton of space (more than my E53 X5 has), I rarely ever have four other people in my car... it's simply perfect.
