VR Colour contrasts
For those of you (like me) who flip between VR and other colours on a daily basis, I thought I'd share a few pictures showing how VR looks in the metal when compared with other 'known' colours.
I could have carried on indefinitely, but thought I'd stop at just these few examples. Some of the pictures I've seen posted of VR (and comments about it being burgundy) make me question my choice, but all I need do is take a look at the colour in the metal and I feel better again.. You have my word that VR looks exactly as these pictures (when in the sun), when in the shade it behaves exactly like Interlagos (which I used to own on my Z4M) namely, you loose the metallic sheen and it looks more like a deep matt colour. I didn't find that a bad thing with my Z4M, but its important to realise that it doesn't stay metallic looking like 'Le Mans Blue' would in similar circumstances. My two favourite BMW colours are Le Mans Blue and Interlagos Blue, so hopefully you can see why I like VR so much - it really is the 'red' version of Interlagos with a hint of Le Mans about it too. It's equally as classy, vibrant and rich looking and it's a 'primary' colour hue (i.e. an honest red) rather than anything browny or organgey. So hopefully (fingers crossed) it should look great on the X6 when I finally see it in the metal. 1. Here's some of VR on its own ![]() ![]() ![]() 2. VR with Indianapolis Red (from M5/M6) ![]() 3. VR with Sedona Red (from new 1 series Coupe) ![]() ![]() 4. VR with Barberra Red (From 3 series) ![]() 5. VR with Le Mans Blue ![]() 6. VR with Interlagos Blue ![]()
