I hated it too. I thought it was an abomination for BMW to build an SUV/SAV and I thought it looked like a jacked up 5er touring. Never say never, eh?

Same here bud!!! Sorry haven't been around much, too much work/travel.

I love the X6 concept, but it needs some sheetmetal that differentiates it from the X5. Something more aggressive, like the BMW CS. Right now it looks like an X5 front with a Dodge charger rear on 20" rims.

I personally think that the X6 looks nice. Crossover vehicles have been doing well (as in the case of Toyota and Mazda). BMW did the right thing in preparing for the future and released the X6. I bet in a few years we will see a lot more CUV than SUV on the road.

I love the X6 and haven't even seen it in person yet. If I had the extra $30k I'm assuming the V8 would cost over my 335, I'd probably have gone for that instead. But don't get me wrong, my 335 is a blast!

Stopped in at the local dealer to see it in person and I do like it a lot. My wife who didn't care to go in and see it, now wants it. She didn't want to leave the showroom!

At 66K MSRP for the 3.0 in the color red was a little rich for me since the dealer said that my 03 X5 with 54K miles (NAV, Sprt, Prem pkgs) would be worth around 16.5K trade in.

I also took a look at the new X5 and felt that it would be too big for my family of 4. I will upgrade to the X6 but probably not for a year or two. I still love my X5 and it still given me a big grin when I am out on the highway.

I really think it's about as useless as an FX45/35, At least the X5 is useful, if I'm going to guzzle all that gas, I demand to fit all the things my garden can handle, including Trumpet vines without having to rent a truck!

It all depends on individual needs. For some a X5 is useless because a minivan fits their needs better.

Hit my local dealership to check out the X6. Didn't take it for a ride, though the salesman was quite encouraging in that respect.

Quite frankly, it frightened me a little bit to see the size and number of the blindspots in that vehicle. Perhaps I could have made it a little better with a few minutes working on the seating position and adjusting the mirrors more to my liking, but I do not think that it would have improved to the point of satisfaction.

Call me crazy, but I would rather not risk such an expensive car for a test drive on a lark, most especially one that is so hard to see out of.

It made me wish for a periscope.

To each his own though, I agree.

There is an X6 driving around my town. I think it is from Fields, but I'm not certain.
