Whistle Updated:BMW AGM release - 2008 X6 quota sold out

CEO Norbert Reithofer said at BMW shareholders AG meeting today that 2008 quota for X6 is sold out.

From his BMW Annual General Meeting release(see PDF attached):
  • The X1 will be the fourth member of our successful BMW X line-up. The new BMW X6 is best proof of the popularity of the X model range. Evidently, many customers were waiting for such a vehicle. The total 2008 production volume is already sold out.

Then why are there like, at least 7 of them sitting on Richmond BMW's lot? And no, they did not have sold signs on them.

Probably dealer committments, rather than individual committments.

Who "hates" it, here?

BigR and a couple others didn't like it, even a little, but
I don't recall anyone "hating" it...

I like it; just wish it was not so pricey.
But, everything seems pricey to me, these days, lol!

Oh MD, I hate it. Something calling itself a coupe and a SUV/SAV when it isn't...

"selling out" doesn't make it good, just popular with people with money they don't need

BigR, I wasn't speaking for you...now I do recall you
thought it sucked.

I like it; doubt I will ever own one...these $70 G cars
are currently out of my retiredbum budget.

I need a Fund Drive, lol!

Glad they sold the production out; will be interesting to
see what happens in MY 2 or 3, however, when gas is
$6+ in '09.

By the bye, is that "Beck'08" as in Glenn Beck, Beck's Beer,
or Beck Hansen? ... lol!
