Excellent point Gresch. Not bad for a Ranger fan.

BTW, not sure how many of you guys (and gals) have seen the new Infiniti FX50 at your local auto show. I'd say the X6 50i takes the cake in terms of engine power, but the FX50 is no slouch: 5-liter V8 with 390 ponies, awesome "surround view" cameras that put BMW's dinky rear-view camera to shame, 21" rims are stock. And it's at least $12-15K cheaper. As socialite and borderline-retard Paris Hilton would say: "that's hawt"

first a hockey comment: MARRRRTTTTYYYYYYYY

2nd a car comment: the new FX35 is "hawt" too, 303HP and the car weighs 4094lbs, the x6 weighs 4894. Don't get me wrong, the X6 has grown on me, but the MPG's, weight, and cost are deal breakers.

Still haven't figured out why most compare the Cayenne to the 6???

Yes, the FX defined the sigmen and Yes the new FX is major upgrade in every aspect. However, I could not stand the new look. Personal taste is a funny thing, I loved the old one when most thought it was ugly. I don't like the new one were most think it is better looking and "more agressive".

The X6 is the BMW version in the sigment and wins on LOOKS alone and it handles better (I test drove both).

Drive an FX for a month and then you will know what sets X6 apart.

Probably to some. But I hazard to say most buy the X6 to say they have it. I've seen two in my neighborhood so far and even the dealer (who lives about a block away) has yet to bring one home. I guess I'd be one of the faithful if I saw any rationale to the X6 over the X5 or...gosh...a wagon. But I don't count because I'm a 'hater'.
