I buy micro towels at BJ's and use them to dry and polish.

Thanks for sharing this info. Will go there and get some. I use micro towels to clean my bassoon. I just ordered 500 lint free disposable special cleaning cloths used to clean and dry microscopes, lab equipment, and fragile items. These are supposed to also absorb liquids of all kinds, including oils without scratching. Should be interesting.

I went to a BJ's today (never been in one before), and joined. So much nicer than Costco, which is always a zoo. And as you said, I found the microfibre towels for about 18 bucks. What a deal. And I got 10 bucks off just for joining. I'll never go back to Costco again. Thanks for the help!

I find that BJ's offers smaller portions of food product's that makes it more desirable than Costco. The Costco in Long Island City is a zoo and not worth the hassle. I do buy some electronics form Costco on line.

Glad I could help and sorry for the high jack.

L we all can't wait to see photo's of you in your new X6!

You just redeemed your soul. How did this turn into a microfibre towel thread?

It's almost show time. Did the insurance thing today. My tenant at work is going to buy my E70 when I turn it in so she'll have a good home.

Saw my new X6 5.0 in Mineral Silver at SunMotorCars BMW yesterday. It came in on Monday from South Carolina, and the BMWUSA website still lists it at the preparation center in Greer. I know the fellow who is re-designing the Audi USA website (one of my neighbors), and BMWUSA needs him to get them off their butts and upgrade their online service.

Gonna pick up my new baby tomorrow morning. You should see the service facility at SunMotorCars BMW. Clean as a whistle, and then even imported the red ceramic flooring from Germany that is used in the top dealers there.

Discovered that the 19" all season rft's that came with my sport package are Michelins. I thought that all new Bimmers were coming through with Bridgestones, but was really lucky with the Michelins. Dealer told me that they have had really great luck with the Michelin rft's, and customers with them have been getting 50+K miles on a set, even with hard driving. I had them fill tires with nitrogen with 41/42 psi front/rear. Really looking forward to driving this beast.

No jealously, she's happy I found her a good home and she won't be destined to sit on the lot and be bought by someone that will bling her out.

Congrats! I requested the Michelins but they said they couldn't request them. What ever tires were on the line when I was produced is what I'd get. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks. I was really surprised to see the Michelins. My dealer told me that he has heard that BMW did not sign an agreement with Bridgestone for all models. Therefore, I'll bet that all X6's with the all season tires will come with Michelins. Don't know what the 20" performance will be. Maybe not Michelin, since 2009 X5.0 w/performance came with Dunlops. According to some other dealers, Michelins are more expensive than Bridgestones (?), and are more difficult to obtain. But one has to wonder. It would be nice to be able to get some info from the factory about all of this since BMW drivers are definitely sensitive to quality of tires. When I went to Mercedes in 1990 until last month, those buyers couldn't care less about the tires...just as long as the car had 4 of them. Sure nice to be back with people who actually care about the performance of their vehicles.
