Thanks, but I'd rather not have to try.

Maybe it'll work in Virginia. I don't know of anyone that's ever gotten a warning ticket but there's a first time for everything.

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
I still find limit plus nine works in most locations.

I drove to Burlington VT and back passed 2 MASS Cops hiding and they did nothing.

Coming into Queens on the Clearview and a guy with a radar detector passes me and then gets hid by NYC Police with lazar. and gets pulled over.

Bottom line all cops are out to right tickets but if you use your cruise control and thereby limit your speed you can make good time and not get stopped.

PS The New England thruway around Bridgeport is scary. Each time I go through there kids in is low riders are racing and making dumb moves cutting in and out. The cops should get them!

Cruise = not recommended during break-in. One should vary the revs whenever possible, not exceeding 5000rpm or 160km/h. Plus, I don't recommend cruise control for I-81 because it's too hilly and the system will try too hard to compensate.

Matt, agree on the need for variable speed/rpm during break in, but
wouldn't a run up I-81 offer some good variation. Dunno what part(s)
"will try too hard to compensate" ...
L leases her car(s) anyway.

I'm going to drive it the way I plan on driving it....Just a little easier on the accelerator until I get to my neck of the woods.

I've never really driven different during breakins other than not jumping on her and redlining.

On hilly roads, the cruise control tries really hard to maintain your set speed and it's not as smooth as human throttle input. Even the more "advanced" 325i (that my mom has) still accelerates pretty hard to keep a set speed, the throttle comes on like a big surge all at once. Bad for fuel consumption.

Then again, I guess it could be entertaining to feel the turbos and all that torque kicking in.

I like how this thread has gone on for 29 pages.
