Traded 35i for 50i.....

Well I treated myself to a little 50i for my 50th...Had the 35i and the dealer made me a nice deal on trade. It's bone stock, but added some 20's and running boards..

I had a Monaco Blue on Saddle 35i and was a little concerned the Space Grey on Sand Nevada might be too boring...Was pleasantly surprised at how well the combo looks and how Space Grey actually shows the lines of the X6 even better than Monaco..

Don't need to go into details on performance -- let's just say I'm having a real tough time staying nice during break-in...

Specifics:

Premium
Cold Weather
Premium Sound
Rear Climate
Sport W/Adaptive

Pardon some of my poor pix quality....

Weasel will become famous soon enough
The 35i is a smooth ride, but that skinny pedal works so much better on the 50i...

You're going to love that 50i. I'm blown away with each and every drive. Congrats. The space grey looks great.

MidWest - buggy looks great ..nice colour choices.

Pug also appears to have given approval

I'm interested in your views on standing start and in-gear (e.g. 60-80) difference between the 35i and 50i .... some early reviews of the X5 50i are suggesting that the 50i appears to have slight turbo lag whereas the 35i does not .... any thoughts / feedback ?

Lol!

Yes, Churchill the pug certainly approves....

I will say this about the 50i -- it is real laggard when not in Sport Mode..Maybe it will improve with mileage and I can be a bit more of a lead-foot.

I do think BMW Engineers could have done a much better job of programming than they have..

I'll have more to report back on later - I've only got 800 miles on it and have not surpassed 4000 rpm's yet

I'll be interested in see what you say when yours is fully run-in and ylou can get it a boot full. I'll be surprised if you are still think it's a "laggard".
