GUESS SO !!!

Trying to decide on getting X6 now, or wait for the new 6 vert when it comes out next year. (can't have both) Tend to alternate every other car between practical and pure fun. Underwhelmed with fotos from Paris on the 6 concept coupe- maybe the vert will be better.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of the new 6 series yet. I'm sure it will hit the street in a different form then we see in the photos. I still say it looks soft right now. But who knows what the final product will look like. Which X6 are you considering?.......Phil

Saw the X6 as maybe being kind of fun and still practical.

2011 X6 xDrive 50i; deep sea blue; sand beige perforated leather; dark wood; active ventilated seats; cold weather pkg; premium pkg; premium sound pkg; adaptive drive; comfort access; multi-contour seats; heated rear seats; smart phone integration; soft-close doors; auto high beam; lane departure warning; rear camera w/top view; space saver spare; carpeted floor mats; iphone cradle and adaptor; illuminated door sills.

No rear climate because I really don't like anything tinted. No sport because I do not like shadowline trim (love the chrome!) nor the anthracite headliner. Have to figure out how to get the sport wheels on it though, short of 6 grand for a whole new set of wheels and tires.

BTW- am hoping you like Bill White as well. He's a good guy.

Thanks for the fotos! My boss has Vermilion Red and it is incredible; I am hoping that deep sea blue is the blue equivalent. Monaco is too dark for me. Really like the blue water metallic, but have no interest in the hybrid.

and Phil- my X5 is just a little over 2 years old and has been great. Just a little sedate. I got it thinking that our golden retrievers would ride in the way back, and the X6 roofline would impede that. We found out they prefer the middle seat, so our gear goes in the back. And they always go in through the doors, not the hatch.

I have 2 Bernese mountain dogs and they like the back seat as well. Now, just need to order the X6 50i! Also, question about the sport package, like you, I don't care for the shadowline trim/headliner. So, I would assume the adaptive drive makes the 'sport' in the sport package?

If one orders adaptive drive, then as far as I can tell with the exception of shadowline trim, the headliner, and the sport wheels they are the same. Changing the limiter (increasing max speed from 130-150) I don't think kicks in until you get the 20 inch wheels with performance tires. (I believe the tires are same on the sport/non-sport and only the rims change until you get to the 20 inchers.)
