Can't decide - X6 3.5 or 5.0 or Cayenne
I am defintely trading my 2007 x5 with 33k miles blk/blk fully loaded in for 1 of the 3 vehicles..just can't decide between options in stock. The deal is that i need to take delivery by end of Dec for all discounts and trade in values to be applied... However, the dealer has 2 x6's: 1) 2011 X6 5.0 blk/blk with everything except heated steering wheel OR 2) 2011 X6 3.5 blk/blk with everthing execpt adaptive drive - i think a worthwhile option on this type of car OR 3) 2010 Posrsche Cayenne GTS blue/blk loaded OR 4) 2011 Cayenne v8 or hybrid What do i do? need to decide by Tuesday! I guess i need to hear from the crew regarding the value of adaptive drive vs. heated steering wheel And of course and Cayenne current or cross shoppers have ideas? HELP!!!

I am in the same boat as you. This year I will be buying something else and for me it has come down to the Cayenne or the X6. I have test drove the Cayenne turbo S and it's amazing. But the feel of the road is different. Which is understandable. But every time I see a X6 I fall in love with the look. I have not test driven one but I will soon. If you get the 35i there are all kinds of performance softwares available to boost the HP. But if you get the 50i it all ready comes with 400hp and with a chip you''ll be around 460-480. I really like the look of the X6 and I think you will want adaptive drive. I could live with out the heated steering wheel.

The suspension is already stiff on an X6, no need for adaptive drive unless you drive it like you stole it 24x7. In the NE heated steering wheel would get my vote, I turn it on everytime i get in my X5 in the colder months.

+1 for adaptive drive. Test drive one with and one without through twists and over bumpy, pothole-filled roads and you'll be sold.
The Cayenne is nice too, but be sure to get air suspension and torque vectoring. |

My wife drove my X5 last week and LOVED the heated steering wheel. Now she wants to drive the X5 this winter (instead of her old MB SUV)

I'm slightly biased. Great color combo - we're twins, except I'm a year older.

And YAY! We came in 2nd. I wonder if the X6 would have had a faster time than the ML63 if it had the extra 40 hp with the performance package. I'm impressed it beat the Turbo Pepper. ![]() Too bad the driver didn't give his impressions of driving each.
