Just got my new X6 too. 2011 Week 40 built UK xDrive 40d fitted with the 8sp tranny, in Vermilion Red with Beige Nappa interior. It pulls like a train and I have little doubt that once it's fully run in it will be a very potent beast.
The only downside so far is the paint finish. Repairs are to be done to the paint on both 'D' pillars and to a 1" scratch on one of the rear doors. This should have been found at the VPC, but they missed it. BMW are loaning me another X6 whilst they fix mine. Other than that it's a great addition to our growing BMW fleet

Just ordered a BMW X5 xDrive 50i with Audiophile Sound Package, Executive Package and M Sport Package in Black Sapphire, Black Nevada Leather and Dark Bamboo Trims. I'm still hoping for a Christmas delivery instead of the normal 6 to 8 weeks. Wouldn't that be great!

So the OP picks up his new X6 on 10/27 and not a peep since....I think he's having too much fun driving it.
Where is the write up  And happy waiting to the rest of you. It's well worth it.
