NEW owner! 2011 blk/blk 5.0 - OMG!

The care is awesome and will get picts shortly.

Need help sourcing wheels and snow tire packages as usual sources are sold out, i.e. Tire Rack.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

csimon

It only gets better. Just wait until you're past break in and can really play around. It's a rocket ship. And what fun it is to surprise those pesky 550 SLs

Gratz on the car As far as winter packages - I would suggest you check your local BMW dealer. Our dealer had a nice looking combo of Vredestein tires on Beyern wheels for our X6. Was kinda pricy though.

Sounds like someone hasn't been following it.

Up to 1200 miles/2000 km, variable engine and vehicle speed and nothing over 4500 rpm. No full-throttle or use of the transmission kick-down.

From 1200 miles/2000 km, engine speed can be gradually increased.

Drive 'in a reserved manner' for the first 200 miles/300 km while the tires break in.

Drive 'in a reserved manner' for the first 300 miles/500 km while the brakes break in.

Enjoy the car!

Pretty sure it hasn't changed for 2011, here is an excerpt from your owner's manual from an earlier year.
