Going 18 months without a ding is absolutely impressive in the tri-state.

Bummer.

i usually park away from cars....like all the way at back if possible to avoid dings..or usually when i see a curb side..i usually stay inches close to curb than the line ..so those assholes dont ding my precious bmw...lol..and i always check all around the car before i leave the space and if i ever see a ding..the car next to me gets it...lol...if i see my paint on his car door or somewhere.

Naz: I agree Bruno is the WIZARD. Just last weekend a buddy of mine drove up from Exit 69 on the GSP, picked me up in Metuchen, and drove up to Bruno's new location in Elmwood Park.

I don't know when you saw him last, but he lost like 60 lbs since the last time I saw him to take a ding out of my wife's E46 vert.

L, I second the opinion. I know the guy that does Open Road, and while he is good, Bruno is truly the "gold-standard" in PDR.

Hope all is well,
ed

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
I have my E61 in for body work. It was keyed, has bumper scratches and dents on driver and passenger doors. I am having Habberstad BMW do the work since it was in for other service.

They gave me a 2012 528 with a turbo 4 it is a really nice car and is much nicer than a 2011. I have put over 1,000 miles on it and average 32 MPG on a trip to Maryland.

I was supposed to pick it today but the service rep said he did not like the work on the passenger side door and sent it back.

I probably am paying a little more for the body worth but the quality of service and the loaner car makes it worth while. I drive 25 miles to Habberstad and am happy to do it for the quality of service.

I got dinged too - in my own driveway, by my wife, by door of her rental 2-door car which she swang out too wide.... (in a furry of getting out from her rental POS instead of her 335 which was in body shop at that time)

I feel your pain and I hate it too. My solution, I park far and walk! Saves the dings and it is a good habit for exercise.
