E71 removing speedo dials

Hi folks

I'm trying to remove the speedo dial after shipping my X6M from Australia to the UK, so that I can have a replacement fitted that displays MPH instead of KM only.

The instrument cluster was trivial to remove and open, and the needles come off quite easily, but I can't see how the dials are actually fixed to whatever is behind them in order to remove them. I'm wondering if they're glued on or something. All the videos I've found online so far are for other models, where the dials seem to just sit in place and can simply picked up and lifted right out without any effort whatsoever.

Naturally I don't want to apply any force without knowing exactly how they're fixed in place and supposed to be removed, especially since there's a delicate-looking calibration/adjustment disc right behind the dial.

Does anyone know how to remove them?

Thanks
