Congrats on your new X3... we/my CEO wife has a 2023 we bought new 15 months ago, traded her 2017 X1.

As you have discovered the 'manual' in printed form or on line, or via the touch screen is basic and mostly about the 'settings' and gizmos.

There are some more in depth R&R manuals for sale on the net; no experience with them. Some of the younger/more adroit posters here may have leads on real R&R service manuals for sale...Additionally, a poster from BimmerFest.com notes this:

"BMW TIS.com offers subscriptions, IIRC $25/24 hours and $2500/year", though not sure the TIS info is still available 'for the day' price...

And, Youtube has some DIY vids on X3 R&R DIY projects, fwiw.

In the meantime, other than the 'annual oil service' your warranty & 'free maintenance' provides for, I wouldn't be concerned about the 'other stuff' you might do in those first three years, other than lean on Dlr for a brake fluid and air/cabin filter in year three; they will resist, or do it half azzed or say they did it, esp the BF and cabin filter, neither of which are 'easy' and difficult to determine that they really did it, from my experience.

As to our 2023, I go back to BMW Asheville tomorrow for the repair finish to my 4th CEL in 15 months; all of the CELs have been similar after the tech digs in for a few hours: the fuel rail/fuel rail sensor, et al.

Not very confidence inspiring as I have only had 1 CEL on our 23 yr old 2001 E53 X5 and 1 CEL on our 2002 Vette Vert, over all of those years...

Our X3 was my wife's pick, (trading in her X1), and she likes it, so 'we like it', but it is a gizmo laden, lack of trunk space/driver space/odd car to my taste.
YMMV...

The X3 G01 sub forum here is non existent...I would rec'd checking out BimmerFest X3 G01 sub forum for current X3 threads.
