Make sure you know how to re-program your car for accepting these comfort seats with additional (electrical) functionality ... it is not a plug-n-play!

I see that last year you were contemplating doing the same comfort seat retrofit. Did you end up doing it or finding out more information? Please share.

I was told by my local BMW master mechanic that it could not be done. Of course, that's a relative thing, because BMW does it in the factory, so it must be possible. I believe that all X5's are pre-wired the same, but that the difference comes in when the seat needs to be "registered" to the car's computer system to recognize the different functions in the seat.

There's only one way to find out, and that is to try it ...
