I'm in the market but I'm confused with what you're trying to do here. You're saying you want someone to give you $12,250 AND takeover your lease payments? I just called my BMW dealership here and they're saying they can get me into a new one with the same down for the same payment if I wanted to lease, which I do not. They're saying they think the car to buy is worth about 65k if they had the identical car CPO for sale which would be a better deal they said as it would come with the extended warranty.

Am I missing something?

Yes...You are correct....$12,250 and take over the payment of $476+ tax for 34 months. Your dealership has a really good sense of humor.

If they can get you into a $91,000 xDrive50i with $12,250 for $476/month plus tax then you absolutely MUST take them up on it.

Sense of humor? I'm not sure where you get 91k, but they ran your vin and I can get the exact same spec 2017 for $82,357. I'm also not sure what your money factor is but perhaps it sucks (that's based on credit, current offers etc.). So I can lease the car brand new (yours is not) for about 71k leased with a residual the same as yours and the payments come out to 484 plus tax. Again, I don't want to lease so I'm not doing that.

Maybe you should buckle down your attitude and find some humor and do some market research and maybe then you could get a deal done. So far two people have asked you questions and you've responded like we're idiots. News flash: you're the one trying to get out from under a poor deal where you're clearly significantly underwater.

They have a 2016 X5M as well for 85,500 with 4200 miles on it. It's technically 'new' since it was the owner's demo so I could lease that even if I wanted to. BMWs have been really soft with sales way down last year and the top line cars have been getting hit hard according to the GM. Your car, as it sits not being CPO, isn't even worth your current payoff in trade and maybe worth your payoff 'retail.'

You're welcome for the free market analysis.

Clearly, you are an expert on your own point of view--and little else.

I didn't then, and am not now, soliciting you for your opinion as it pertains to this thread.

First, nice vehicle, fully loaded minus Mtec it looks like. Good luck with a sale.

Buuuut... I'm not sure this is the right venue for this sort of a deal.
