Hi,
New to the forum and new to X5.

I have a 05 4.8 and wanted to ask you questions.

Would that fit to my car and is it hard to install ?

Any help would be nice and if all goes well i will take it.

thanks.

Welcome Simon:xoutpost:.

Yes, this would likely fit in your car, but refer to the Dension USA website (www.densionusa.com) to reference the part numbers. Keep in mind there are two different iceLink attachments to the iPod. One model of the iceLink cable has an active cradle to house the iPod, the other terminates with a normal plug-in like the one advertised above. The choice is yours. I have the plug-in cable like above which I feel allows more options on how and where to mount the iPod.

It's an easy install and there are plenty of DIY articles with photos to help guide you through the way and plenty of members who will answer your questions. Tom G. is a member here (http://www.xoutpost.com/members/tom-g.html). He also sells and installs iceLinks and has been a valuable source of information.

Regards, Mike

What is a fair price?

It used not new, I think the cost of a new one from Tom G is about $200.

When you buy a used car from a private dealer you pay less.

Not sure what a fair price is ?

Installation is almost too simple in the X5. It is essentially 2 connectors and you have music and steering wheel control.
