Used V8 X5 DINAN S2 Components & Extras
Hello - I'm sadly trading in my 02 4.6is X5 so my DINAN S2 upgrades are coming off & are up for sale. The total S2 package adds 29hp & 27lbs of torque. Hurry and get these as you rarely will ever see these available at a used price. Everything is in excellent condition, easy to install (so easy a caveman can do it) and ready to go. These will only fit the 02/03 4.6is V8 X5 or 00-03 4.4i V8 X5 unless specified below. DINAN X5 Intake Air Box -SOLD(D760-0530) Fits V8 only. This has an improved intake design modified to meet upper radiator scoop for increased cold air flow (keeps engine bay clean). It is sound proofed to improve cold air draw & keep the additional noise at a minimum. Includes filter and sock w less than 4000 miles - Like new. DINAN X5 Throttle Body - SOLD(D760-3440A) Fits V-8 4.4i or 4.6is only. DINAN X5 MAF Housing - SOLD(D763-1444) Fits V-8 4.4i or 4.6is only. DINAN X5 Strut Brace - SOLD(D180-0530) (All X5's Without air ride adjust only) will fit 3.0 as well. Improves understeer and strut sway. Custom DINAN Pedals - SOLD(Include Gas, Brake & Dead pedal) Custom made & One of a kind. Fits all 00-06 X5's. Did the S2 upgrade provide you with noticeable differences in everyday driving? Did Dinan provide you with any street performance stats (0-60...1/4 mile) or did you ever have the car dynoed after the mods to see what it was doing at the wheels?

Hi ljnlaw - There is Absolutely a difference in everyday driving. Especially now that I have removed everything I've noticed a big decrease when I step into it. Unfortunately the stats and dyno results are according to the DINAN specs at www.dinanbmw.com. They Quote basically a 10% improvement +29hp & +27 torque total for the S2 Package (369hp/382tq peak for the 4.6) (321hp/350tq peak for the 4.4i)- They sell the 4.6 S2 package for $5502 new & here is the detail;

Can you clarify something? You said the S2 adds 29hp to a 4.4i, but you're not selling the complete S2 package, right? The exhaust and computer tuning play a BIG part in that added hp, so the CAI, throttle body and MAF are the only parts of the S2 package you're selling, correct?

Correct - The software has to be installed by Dinan certified dealer so I can't remove & sell it to anyone else. The exhaust has to stay on my previous vehicle as the original 4.6 went to a buddy with a 4.4. My vehicle is a 4.6 for which the S2 package was complete. The 4.4 has an additional intake manifold which adds additional hp above what you get in the 4.6 S2 package which is why Dinan charges about $2k more for the 4.4i S2 package. What you see above are the components I could remove and sell. By buying the components I have you can add the additional required exhaust & software and still save over a thousand over what Dinan will charge you new. Make sense?
