your best bet is to take off the mods, sell them and then sell the truck.

Your best bet is to keep until the wheels fall off. KBB may show its worth 50k but you can buy a used 2005 4.4 for $52k, so I dont think kbb is even remotely right. The car without the mods and 45k miles on it has real street value of about $37k. I have seen some for even less with less miles. It is feasable to ask a 10k premium for the mods, but anything other than that is unrealistic. Based on what you have done, you should consider keeping it. You have one of a kind and should enjoy. There arent too many vehicles out there that will touch it and if you sell...I think you would regret it.

You will get more if you sell th emods separately. When selling you rarely get KBB values if you are lucky. All dealers value the car using www.Galves.com .

I just sold a car that was modified..

Strip it !! sell the parts and get more money back.

or find the right buyer and a good price then add the mods they want to keep.

works great for me.

I may take the under guard if you strip it.

good luck

thanks everyone for the input, when i modded the car i half sorta knew about this, but being that i never bought a 2nd hand car before i wasnt sure what people were looking for...the decision is im gonna keep the x5, ride out the 330 til next year when lease is due, lease a new 550 for 24 months then hopefully save enough $$$ for te m5 in '08. cheers everyone!
