Euro OVERHEAD 10" DVD player docking station
Original BMW X5 shroud w/ lights in grey Original BMW adapter wire harness for shroud light's connection to rear dome light harness OEM supplier generic shroud in grey OEM supplier docking station in grey OEM supplier universal wire harness and power supply OEM supplier FM modulator w/ 8 frequencies OEM supplier universal roof support braces (x4) BMW installation instructions and BMW portable DVD player owners manual OEM supplier installation instructions Over the past year I've collected parts to install this system in my personal X5. However buying all parts through BMW would give a total cost of over $3000! As a result I purchased some parts from the supplier which BMW uses. Some parts were in the wrong color for my headliner (mine is black) and I've put together this 2nd kit for sale here. You can purchase the portable DVD player through BMW. Though the kit lists for almost $2000, but does include a carry case, remote, 2 IR wireless headphones and some A/V cables. If you would like to buy the portable DVD player from BMW's supplier, I can provide information to purchase just the player w/ remote for about $175. Wireless headphones are about $35 each. This route is obviously much less expensive. Note: the picture on the DVD player rotates 180 degrees when docked. One disadvantage of the kit I have for sale is the installation parts are "universal", meaning the installer will have to pick the mounting points in the roof and splice the kit wire harness (power and ground) into your vehicle's. The real BMW harness and mounting bracket (not included) are of course more "plug and play", but are much more expensive. One advantage with this kit is you can use the FM modulator if your radio doesn't have an AUX input. The docking station has an on/off button for this FM modulator. The OEM supplier shroud has a hole for this button. The BMW shroud does not, but does have a molded circle on the inside where this hole would be. Either drill out the hole, or remove the switch and don't use the FM modulator. Your choice. Note: the FM modulator uses different style antenna connections and adaptors are needed to use with the BMW antenna connector. Any installer should be able to get these adapters. If you have the electric rear seat buttons in your headliner, these will need to be relocated to the C-pillar (same location as X5's w/ the panoramic sunroof). The BMW installation instructions tell you how to do this. You need 2 plastic trim rings which are not included with this kit. I can provide the part numbers. Price is $350 + shipping for the parts shown in the below pics. All parts are new. You still need the portable DVD player (one picture shows the $175 one I bought), trim rings if you have rear electric seats and likely some installation parts (zip ties, wire taps, bulk wire, etc). Let me know if you have any questions. ![]() Original BMW X5 shroud w/ lights in grey: ![]() ![]() OEM supplier docking station in grey ![]() OEM supplier universal wire harness and power supply and FM modulator ![]() OEM supplier generic shroud:
