FOR SALE: BMW X5 - Fully Loaded - Nav - Sport - Premium - Xenons + More!

Hey guys/gals:

I am selling my perfect condition Alpine White on Tan 2002 BMW X5 (3.0). The car is in excellent condition, no scratches, no rock chips, no door dings and no curbed rims. It has a clean title and a clean CarFax. The car is rarely driven, very well taken care of and always parked in a heated garage. It is a 5 Speed Steptronic with 24,854 miles. It's still under the factory warrenty until 2006. An oil change was just done 300 miles ago. The tires have about 95% tread left.

Here are the options on the car:

-GPS Navigation System
-Premium Package
-Sport Package
-18" Sport Wheels
-6-disc CD Changer
-Moonroof
-Sport steering wheel
-Xenon Lights
-Dual Climate Control

The KBB Private sale is 33k. The Porsche dealer is offering me $30k as a trade in. I'm looking for offers between 30k and 33k for the car. This car is stunning...In my opinion, Alpine White is the best color you can get for an X5

Please email me at "[email protected]" with any questions...The car is located in the Back Bay area of Boston. I'm willing to ship the car at the buyers' expense

Thanks

do you get a tax credit in MA when you trade a car? if you do the $3000 more that you are looking to get may be made up for when you trade your car in. Just a thought.

the dealer offering you $30k for that car sounds very reasonable.

A dealer offering 30K is not one who is going to make a profit on this one when he sells it. I would trade it in if I was you at $30K. Just my 2 cents ....

I have not heard of somebody getting even close to KBB private party value. If the dealer is giving $30k, go for it.

You get the credit....and only have to pay the difference between purchace and trade.

Maybe he really does not care about the taxes....I am not sure why he would want the head ache of a private party sale...with those miles and that stated condition he should be able to get that up here if it were a 4.4 it would be a deal but things are more expensive in general.

E61Silver is an unknown quantity at this point
So

It is now over a month did you sell or trade?

My guess is the trade price was just the seller puffing.

If it is still for sale for market value please let me know?

I got very close to KBB for excellent cond of a 2003 X5 4.4. Then I had more leverage to price down the 05 I was buying from the dealer. They will get you coming ang going. It is much easier to deal with them if the sale is one way. If you trade you will always pay more. But selling can be time consuming.
I say post it on autotrader for a while before you trade it in.

I would trade it in as well if the dealer is indeed giving you $30k. The tax credit will make up for any difference.
