I ended up trading in the X and getting a Mazda Speed3. Found a dealer I could work a deal with and took it. Here is a pic of the new ride. Its so nimble and quick, lovin the boost.

Very nice new car! I would probably do the same if given the choice even if FWD isn't my favorite. The performance oriented MS3 trumps the boat-like X5.

Thanks. It is so nimble and quick with out effort. FWD isn't my favorite either but had a budget and turbo car was more important, can get great mileage when wanted and power is on tap when needed. It is also pretty roomy inside for the size and the seats are really comfortable.

Oddly enough I actually beat one of those with the 4.6is! (faster 0-60) But that was just from a red light in a straight shot. Great cars nonetheless, always liked Mazdas.

2003 4.6is

AWD is a huge advantage over FWD out of the hole. This thing has no traction in 1st, 2nd, early 3rd, but when the boost comes on in 3rd its gone. The mazda is way cheap to mod compared to the X for go fast goodies. Intake, bigger intercooler and simple tune this thing is running low 13's even with limited traction. All that for about a G.

Its been fun and different driving than the X for sure and the gas is great. Filled up the other day with still a quarter tank left and cost $35 and had gone something like 260 miles.
