Wow darks, going to be sad to see it go! I'd love to take this off your hands as a member who wants to see the car live a great rest of its life, but I'm sure it would be a nightmare to sell my X.

Is your 4.6 without Navigation?

Correct, no nav. I need to take some good shots of the interior.

I briefly thought about trading it for a 3.0 with a 5 speed, if you would entertain that idea.

Cheers.

My 5 speed '03 currently sits at 68k, meticulously maintained as yours is, wondering what you would want in trade for my car, pm me if you'd like to shoot some ideas my way. I can tell you about all mods I've done since purchased at 59k, and all the recent maintenance since I bought it in December of 2011

Truck also got a new CCV in March 2013. BMW of Minnetonka performed the work, a guy named Matt Slawson. He will remember the truck. I asked him if he saw any other issues, he said no. He took it on an extended test drive per my request.

When I first got the truck, I paid for a PPI. They found one worn suspension bushing, the front control arm. That was replaced before I purchased the truck. Everything else they found was, IMO, "trivial".

Again about 6 months later I paid for a suspension inspection as I thought my subframe bushings were going south. The front 2 will be ready for replacement in the next 10k miles, the rear 2 are OK. They shop, Eurotech in New Brighton, MN, agreed that it was not critical to replace the bushings at this time.

The truck also has brand new Toyo Proxes in OEM sizes. Maybe 2-3k miles on them. I have the alignment specs too, if anyone cares to see them.

There are ZERO door dings. There are about 3 paint chips on the entire car. I have no idea how the paint has held up this well.

The interior is MINT. The drivers bolster has some wear, every other seat is like brand new.

The shift knob on this damn truck cost $330. The alarm system was over $850. There is a stupid amount of money into this truck.

I hope Xoutpost members see the value in this truck and are willing to pay a premium price for it. Please don't make me list it on Craigslist. I am open to members opinions about my pricing.

GLWS epdarks. That's no-doubt a good 4.6iS to have. You forgot to mention the steering wheel
Do you have it listed on bimmerforums and bimmerfest also?

Sadly I most likely won't be pulling a tmv (although it would be funny as hell if I did!) because the only way I could really make it work is straight trade, and I'm fairly certain Dan's car is worth more than mine from an enthusiast's standpoint. I don't know, I never accurately priced mine, I have 4 corner air and all options except rear heated seats and nav, whereas he has over double the miles but a shitload of preventative maintenance to take that 4.6 all the way to 200k without a single hiccup!

The house work is what killed me this year, chimney had to be redone for a few thou, roof repairs for 2k after Sandy, not to mention the maintenance I've been doing on my car in the meantime, so the cash flow just literally isn't there to add cash on top of my car in trade. I'm floating by this year money wise, hoping my wife gets a raise, thank God we only have 1 car payment in the house and my car and m'cycle are owned outright.

Looking forward to updated pics though of the interior, I LOVE that steering wheel and the car really is perfect.

Updated the thread with some "extras" included in the sale. Could throw in my Peake Scan tool if you pay full price

I also added the VIN. I do have a copy of the Carfax from when I pulled it, if anyone is too cheap to buy a current one.

Truck has been an absolute beast in every way. Running perfectly right now.

Happy Monday.

Brought the truck back to the alignment shop to double check everything was holding well after the new tires. It turns out my passenger front wheel wasn't holding an alignment. We eventually concluded it was the ball joint / thrust arm. Ordered a new Lemforder thrust arm (with bushing), rather than trying to replace the bushing only. I will try to throw that in this weekend.

This is how I maintain my BMWs. Whatever they need, they get. No BS aftermarket brands, all OE stuff.

Still need to get the interior minty so I can snap pics, sorry about the delay.

At this time I have not listed it anywhere besides Xoutpost, but I'm not sure we have the traffic needed to facilitate the sale. That, or the market for 4.6is' is really small
