2003 BMW X5 4.6is ESTORIL BLUE

Up for sale my beloved 03 X5 4.6is.I have bought this car 3 years and took great care of her and she did the same for me.We had around 20 k miles on the California roads and I was never left stranded or had even a distant feeling that I may not make it home.We bought it to use it for the family trips and to tow my race car to the track 5-8 times a year.It was planned to stay with the family for a long time, but I got a great deal om a X5 diesel and this one has to go.You can see all the maintenance I have done below, that is probably more than $10k if done by the dealer. Thanks god I am a 20+ years BMW technician and am able to take a good care of my Bimmers.Of course there are some minor cosmetic flaws here and there, but I never had the goal to make the car perfect.Just to keep it nice, clean and mechanically 100%.
As you may already know the is models for E53 X5 are top of the line,power-wise and option-wise.It has 340 hp and is one of the fastest cars on the street.Nowadays that is not a stunning power, but BMW is always utilizing the power and torque in the best possible way.It also has amazing handling, even compared to most cars. When loaded with my race E3(2500 lbs+open trailer 1500lbs) it doesnt even feel there is something back there.I have connected electric brake controller, but the X5's brakes are more than sufficient to stop in any condition.
Options include:
-Parktronic
-Xenon lights,self leveling
-Headlight washers
-Automatic lights
-Automatic wipers
-Remote garage door opener with rolling code
-Power folding,autodim side mirrors
-Autodim inside mirror
-DVD based navigation with 16:9 wide screen
-6 CD changer in the trunk
-Power,heated sport seats with memory
-Rear seat heater/AC
-Rear heated seats
-Rear doors privacy blinds
-Keyless entry
-Moonroof
-20" staggered wheels-OEM
-ABS,DSC,stability control,4wd
-Premium sound
-Rear self leveling suspension
-Power windows,power locks
-Reese tow hitch receiver with OEM wiring harness for the trailer lights
I hate to connect aftermarket equipment to my bimmers,so my goal is to use only OEM stuff,or if there is none available,to use highest quality stuff available. Here are some options that I have installed myself:
-DICE Media bridge 1500 IPOD/IPHONE/AUX/BLUETOOTH integration. That is proven system specialised for BMW and is plug and play to the CD changer connector. The CD changer is still installed and can be used instead of the DICE
-Tekonsha Prodigy electric trailer brake controller.Hidden install under the steering wheel, can be removed when not in use.
-6 row external transmission cooler, can be seen on one of the pictures
As I mentioned I have dome a very extensive preventative maintenance and a lot of repairs.100% OEM or OE parts were used,I dont remember to have installed any aftermarket parts.
When I bought the car the previous ownew had just dropped $5 000 for transmission, transfer case and axles overhaul.Around 115 000 miles, right after I bought the car,the following was done:
-Complete coolant system
-Valley pan replaced
-Crankcase ventilation system
-Valve cover gaskets
All this should be good for 70-80 k miles.Over the years I have replaced all window regulators, driver door outside handle,ABS/DSC module, rear brake pads, electric fan and many small things I cant remember.A few months ago:
-Front brake pads
-Front trust arm bushings
-Front driveshaft flex plate(guibo)
-NAV display was just replaced,no dead pixels anymore
.Every single thing in the X5 works fine and there are no warning lights, funny sounds or major problems whatsoever.Manuals are included as is the navigation DVD.The tires has a decent life left in them.I have the CA clean tittle in my hand, the car will be smoked upon the purchase. The interior i spretty much free of dents and scratches, although not perfect.
Now I will mention all the problems I know about, which should be pretty much all of it:
-Drivers door seal has a torn piece along the floor 5- 7"
-Steering wheel has some wear on the top
-Drivers seat has some wear and few scratches on the bottom
-The VANOS is a bit noisy when engine is hot, probably needs seal replacement. However the car runs perfectly fine,no excessive fuel consumption or loss of power. No check engine light
-When the car is parked on the driveway there are a few drops of oil after a day or two.Not sure what it could be,but it is small enough for me to live with it.
-Driver door mirror is a bit loose. It stays fine when driving, but when the door is closed it has to be moved outwards a bit to get to its unfolded position.
-The engine oil is due for change.i have used Castrol syntetic 5W30, 4500-5000 miles change interval.
-The cluster has a lot of dead pixels. The mileage is not readable, but I have read it with my BMW scanner. It is 133 500,give or take a few miles.
Asking price $11500 OBO
Feel free to cal me @ 818 397 2539 Kirk
