I don't know if anyone has managed to get a used cluster working. Most dealers won't even code a used unit. From what I hear, as long as the used cluster's mileage is lower than yours, it can be re-coded. If the mileage is higher, then you're screwed as the mileage can not be rolled back. Even is you do get it working, there are other issues that keep arising with the cluster lights and warnings, etc.

I would save yourself the trouble and just buy a new one! With the 4.6is cluster, there's the issue of the oil temp gauge and LED lights not working...

Hello its very easy to get the oil temp gauge and RPM leds to work! all you have to do is take it a part and get a schematic diagram for both clusters to switch wires around!

Also you mentioned that the odometer has to be lower than your own or it will never work? if it is i heard that it will RE-burn itself with the original odometer on your used cluster after driving for a while? thanx
