I'm hoping he's joking..... otherwise I will be adding my first name to the ignore list. I can tell you 100% the curt hitch is not the same as the OEM hitch. Yes it is a similar design, but it does not have all the same bracing and that is what makes all the difference in the world. Also the Curt hitch has a square tube for the main body, not a form fitting round tube. What that means is if you have rear PDC the sensors will contact the hitch body causing you to cut clearance holes in the bumper and buy a pair of new sensors with 90 degree plugs for another application. And the curt hitch does not come with a wiring kit. The OEM BMW wiring is the best and safest way to go hands down. Besides, I actually have the hitch he's pushing installed
If his statement is not joking, I actually might hope that his subframe bends... No, I take that back. I wouldn't wish that on a good vehicle.
