Hey Chris;

Most people use their first post to introduce themselves on the site and
try to be friendly. If your just looking to buy something rather than being
part of this great community why not look in your local paper or auto rag.
This site is much more that just trying to buy or sell something.

Having said that Welcome to the site.

Quicksilver,

I take it you don't have a set of wheels to sell me, rather just some free advice?

You ask why I don't look in local papers, there is a perfectly logical answer for this. The type 168 wheel are rather rare, to my knowledge they only came on the e53 4.8is and came as an option on the other e53's. Since this is a community of only X owners, and this is a classified section, the probability increases orders of magnitude.

I thought this was obvious?

That being said.

My name is Chris. I worked in Pro racing for many years as a BMW car chief and engine tuner/data acquisition systems. I had my own shop as well. I also like long walks on the beach.

Hi,

I purchased a set a little while ago, I probably should have updated the post. I ended up going with a set off of ebay they are made by keystone. They are knock offs but work well. They required a little more balance weight than what I would expect from an OE, but the price was right at 599 shipped.

Chris
