ah too bad I would have taken the camera off your hands. What's involved in the ipod install? If it's somewhat easy then I'll take the ipod kit off your hands ... remember, I'm challenged

That depends on weather you have the CD changer installed in the glove box or not. If you have the CD changer then it must be removed then you can plug the existing cables in the Most interface and mount it where the changer goes. If you don't have a changer and you are challenged as you say then it's a dealer install item which takes no more than 1 hour brackets and all withoutout removing the glove box.

Remember if you don't have a CD changer your vehicle must be coded to see the CD changer which BMW must do free of charge. See post #3 for the PDF file concerning this. Be sure to print this document and take it to the dealership if you need coding. http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e53-forum/...?highlight=e60

The fibre optic cable loop behind the glove box just needs to see a device. When plugged into the most adaptor it acts like a CD player.

I hope this make sense. I did the install myself and while it was somewhat easy for me I have to admit taking apart the fibre optic cable was not easy. Installing the connectors on the end of of the cable is direction specific also. If it's not done right the cables must be removed from the connectors and reinstalled properly.

Hey Barry,

Thanks for the reply .... I already have a CD changer installed in the glovebox; so all I have to do is remove it, and plug in the MOST ipod adaptor?

If so, Josh, and you still have it, please put my name on it. How do you want the money? paypal?
