Limited edition CORUM 2005 Admiral's Cup Regatta 44 for sale

I never wear it anymore, it sits in my watch winder and looks pretty. I need some raise cash for an investment. I paid about $6000 for this watch at a very reputable so cal dealer for Corum. All papers and original boxes etc will be included, and also a watch winder unit at no extra charge.

This watch has carbon fiber inserts and was limited to 2000 units for production. You can't find it new anywhere any longer.

Email me to [email protected] or send me PM if you are interested. Thinking to let it go for about 4800$ or list it on ebay but afraid of scammers! Will take more pics tonight.

Symbolizing victory with a taste of sea spray and champagne, in 2005 the Admirals’ Cup timepiece collection by CORUM is welcoming two new limited editions in tribute to the most aristocratic of international sailing competitions, the Admiral’s Cup Race.

CORUM is the Official Timekeeper of the Admiral’s Cup Race. Organized in July of every odd year by the Royal Ocean Racing Club (RORC) of London in conjunction with the Royal Yacht Squadron of Cowes, Isle of Wight, along the southern coast of England, the Admiral’s Cup Race comprises eight races, including the two CORUM Trophy Races sponsored by CORUM.

The two Admiral’s Cup timepieces being launched by CORUM in limited editions on this occasion are new versions of the Admiral’s Cup Chrono 44 Regatta and the Admiral’s Cup Tides 44 Regatta. One is crafted from noble stainless steel, the Chrono 44, and the other from 18kt pink gold, the Tides 44. Extremely characteristic of the Admiral’s Cup line by CORUM is the black bezel with twelve brightly colored hour-marker nautical pennants and matte black lacquered dial, topped by an anti-glare sapphire crystal. The unique bracelet design on both models features a carbon graphite cover on the center links, a cutting-edge material developed by the aerospace industry and widely used in making top-level sailing boats.

The Admiral’s Cup Chrono 44 Regatta, issued in a limited numbered series of 2000, displays the traditional chronograph functions with the precision of a COSC-certified automatic movement on a completely redesigned dial. The new marine inspired dial features oversized sub-dials for the small seconds hand at 3 o’clock and minute counter at 9 o’clock with an under-sized hour counter at 6 o’clock. The crown and two chronograph push-button protectors are coated in black PVD.

Thanks to a patented module powered by a COSC-certified automatic chronometer movement, the Admiral’s Cup Tides 44 Regatta, produced in a limited numbered edition of 500, displays not only the date and the usual watch functions, but also the powerful rhythms of the tides, measuring both the amplitude and the force of the currents in relation to the different moon phases.

These two 2005 limited editions are also distinguished by a case-back engraved with the distinctive CORUM sail boat and a transparent window revealing the oscillating weight of the movement. The same case-back, secured to the case by 8 screws, ensures water resistance to a depth of 10 atmospheres (100 m / 330 ft).

Admirals’ Cup by CORUM – the emblematic watch most coveted by those capable of appreciating the daring elegance of its powerful, sophisticated and resolutely contemporary aesthetics, undeniably one with the sea.
