Good car wash liquid?

I was down at Walmart and wasn't sure which liquid I should use. I am going to rinse my car and wash it w/ a power washer. I got the Blue Coral Wash/Wax. Is that any good or should I go return it?

Hmmm..I dont think there is such a thing..Car wash liquid is car wash liquid if you asj me...I mean, as far as getting the dirt off..Anyhting can do that..I do think, if youre trying to establish a clean slate, i.e., for a Zaino or other wax job, Dawn is your friend...

Once the wax IS on, I think "cheap" is best..Once I have a couple coats of good wax on my X, I like to get a hold of the stuff that says "Wash AND Wax"...They tend to be much less abrasive, and weaker than the soapy stuff..

armor all has a nice one...no buckets to recollect dirt and grime when dipping in. armor all makes a squeeze on on wet car and use a microfiber mitt to clean then hose off, and it comes with a second bottle that waxes as you dry...gets the microfiber towel hot....leaves the car dry and waxed...thats what i use

I always buy the Meguiar's Gold Class car wash liquid from Costco. 1 gallon for $8-$9 if I remember right.

Same here. Have been using for several years.

The difference between the cheap stuff and something more specialized like from Mequiars is that Mequiars car wash soap won't take the wax off and it's gentle on the paint while still getting the dirt off.

Dawn is definitely the way to go if you're starting from scratch and want to get the wax off of the car.

Unless your are washing the Beater PickUp, I'd skip the "powerwasher", imo.

Mr Clean

I have used the "Mr Clean" car wash system.

It does not leave water spots if you don't hand dry.

Is this mass market product ok?

Seems like this group rather talks about politics?

This product is not avaliable in stores. I have had the one gallon bottle i have for 2 years and it is still over 50% full. Cruise the site. It's quite an education regarding how much work they went thru to make a soap the lifts dirt off your finish but wont remove wax. Countless detail shops use these products and I have never found anything better as far as soap. I also use some of their wax which I find is a good product as well
