I have a locked Cingular Treo 650. Mine pairs with my 2005 X5 flawlessly. I can even voice dial through the X5 system.

No you will not be able to access your phonebook but you can still do that through your Treo anyway. It will only load your favorites (quick dial numbers). Caution: make sure none of your quick dial numbers in your favorites have extra characters or this will cause resets in your Treo while pairing with the X.

If you receive or do a lot of calls while in your car, this is an incredible feature.

According to BMW, the Treo 650 is compatible after updating it with software version 1.12. Software updates can be downloaded from

http://www.palm.com/us/support/downl...reo650updater/

and once you have the update on your computer then hot sync to your Treo 650. Only phone numbers stored as Speed Dial entries will be accessible from your BMW. Your BMW will not be able to access phone numbers stored as Contacts in your PalmOne Treo 650.

Jeff is there a source for this information from BMW?

If you have a LOCKED Cingular Treo 650, the latest update is 1.17 Make sure you checkout this page http://www.palm.com/us/support/downl.../cingular.html

Follow the Bluetooth instructions that came with your X5. You will need the code from there when you pair your Treo for the first time.
