Treo 650 Cingular, Nextel i870, Blackberry 7100i

I cannot decide which of the devices to get. Don't need data plans though,(Internet, Wifi and all that other stuff at this time) However I do need to store and sync information (memo's and files and the like on a regular basis. Any thoughts and comparison's. Any possible experiences you may have had good or bad would be helpful also.

I have never tried to store or synch any files on my i870 (but it is a cool idea) I have a Palm, and use that for portable files. As a phone, the i870 is very good. Works fine with the Bluetooth in the X5, as well (everything but the phonebook; VR works, too.).

Leaning towards the 7100i and hoping that someone was able to pair it with the X

I have the Treo650, but I don't have a BT kit on my X. I've heard there were issues getting the Treo650 to pair up with the BMW BT kit. The Treo700p is due out either this month or next if you like the Palm OS.

I have Verizon Treo 650 with firmware 1.04. If you get any of the Treo 650 with the latest firmware (or upgrade the firmware through palm.com) you should have no problems with BT synching with your X5.

My X5 and M3 both pair with my Treo 650 Bluetooth.

Also, for synching and storing data, the Treo 650 Palm OS is tops. You should get Backup Buddy which can backup your data on your PC hard drive and also back up data on your SD card on the Treo 650 itself. However, the memory in the Treo 650 is better than previous Palm because even if you lose power, the data in the memory stays intact.

Treo 650 GSM and '06 X5

Pairs and transfers speed dial list to dashboard so I can pick numbers from steering wheel.

Using the latest firmware (on both X5 and Treo) makes it great.

it pairs with the X. I have a 7100G. Not sure what the 7100i is.
