Using other phones with the professional phone?

Does any body know if it is possible to use any other phones (bluetooth-pairing) when you have the OEM professional phone (cordless handset)?

I am about to recive a used car, X3 3.0iA 2004 with this option installed. I think this is a bluetooth setup, am I correct?

No you can't pair other phones. I have the professional phone on my X5 and can't find a way to connect. Dealer also says its impossible. A solution would be a bluetooth retro fit, which is not cheap.
