How can I tell the generation of BT module?
By the way, how can I figure it out what generation of module I have? My X5 is 2005, manufactured in June 2005, 3.0i. The BT system is factory installed, but one part, FP Number 84 10 6 963 798 Telematics Cont. VI, was replaced since the factory installed was out of order. At that time, I got new BT code after replacing the part. I read postings here and there, but I could not find the part number. If you guys know the generation of the unit with this number, that'll be great, or please let me know how I can get that info. Brian-BMW confirmed that BB 8100 pearl works great with gen 5 module. Does this mean it would work with modules after gen 5 modules too? Thank you. Brian |
