convert assist to bt

excuse the newbieness of this question...but, i read somewhere (can't find it now) that it's possible to convert the bmw assist module to work as a bluetooth module?? i have an 04 4.4i btw...

You will need to buy a new combo module if you want both in an '04, or delete the Assist and replace it with a bluetooth only module (which runs a little less $). Search the forums for lots of info. on the subject.

um, that's a lil more than i'd like to spend...maybe a 10th gen module is not absolutely necessary...do you have any used? i'm trying to go budget style with the holidays and all.

If I were to retrofit an OEM NAV system, should I install the NAV first and then the Bluetooth or does it not matter? thanks guys!

The kits hold value very well, which is another reason to consider purchasing. A NAV retrofit is about 3-4x the price of Bluetooth.
