Bluetooth in Canada

Does anyone know if the bluetooth module is installed in X5's sold in Canada? I will soon be receiving a 4.4i with all the options.

It certainly came with my '05 4.4 X5 (Bluetooth/Assist), but I had to order it. I also had the dealer install the Voice Recognition module following delivery...works great with both the BT module and the Nav.

I just picked mine up from the dealer and they told me that the Nav system negated the Bluetooth module.

They don't know what they are talking about. No such conflict exists.

I'd consider changing dealers as they are obviously pretty clueless (or they're covering up their mistake). I have both Nav and the BT/Assist module...factory ordered and built in March '05...and they work flawlessly together. Very happy with the results...especially the performance with my Motorola V635 bluetooth cellphone. I'm in Calgary so it is certainly the case in Canada.

If you want BT now it is possible to retrofit, but it will probably cost considerably more than if factory installed.
