Bluetooth Quick Fix - Battery reset

I posted on this topic a while back. I own an 06 4.8is and a Motorola e815. Recently my phone would not connect to the bluetooth. The phone would recognize the BMW device but could not connect.

I took it into the dealer and they told me that the e815 is not a "supported" phone for the BMW bluetooth and that it was causing the bluetooth unit to "lock up."

The fix - as reported previously- is to disconnect the positive terminal on your battery. This will "reset" the bluetooth unit and allow your phone to connect.

So - last time I reported a battery reset might be a quick fix and it has been recently confirmed that disconnecting the positive battery terminal may help some of you get your phones connected and save you a trip to the dealer. Something about disconnecting the positive terminal resets the bluetooth.

Hope some of you may find this helpful
